I am a 22 year old student. I had very little to no teaching experience before I was hired this summer by Oxford International to work in one of their summer programmes. Had Ryan not been my Director of Studies it could have been a very different experience to the positive one that it was. He is exceptionally organised and teaches in a way that is clear and structured yet always fun. He gave me excellent advice concerning lesson plans, warm ups, vocabulary games and project ideas. He also offered a variety of CPD programmes to the staff covering topics such as instruction giving, working with young learners and teaching ideas for the children whose home countries used different education systems. His formal observations were very useful – he identified the weak spots in my lessons and gave me constructive advice on how to adapt my activities whilst being encouraging and understanding.

Ryan never stops working and he is always there to help – thanks to him we had a lovely staff dynamic. The kids absolutely loved him and I ended the summer knowing so much more about teaching than I had ever expected to – he is great!
